With more than 10 years in public policy and advocacy, Rodney began his career in the Office of the Prime Minister in 2007, and went on to serve in policy roles for the Ministers of ESDC and Industry Canada. In 2010, Rodney left the political arena for the private sector, holding senior public policy roles with Visa Canada and Toyota Canada. In 2014 he was drawn back to Ottawa for a season as part of the Communications team in the Office of the Prime Minister.
More recently, Rodney joined Intuit Inc. as the global public policy strategist managing relationships with elected officials and public servants for Intuit’s key non-US markets. With a focus on innovation in tax administration, Rodney works with authorities in the United Kingdom, France and Canada to look at ways to foster digital adoption among small businesses, and encourage tax compliance through innovative public-private partnerships with the tech sector.
Rodney lives in the Greater Toronto Area with his wife and three children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
