Alissa Golob

Co-founder, RightNow

I am the Co-Founder of Canada’s newest political pro-life organization, RightNow. Formerly the Youth Coordinator for Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), I have worked in the pro-life movement on a full-time basis for over 7 years. After attending a small Catholic college in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities from Redeemer University. I also have my certification in Health Care Ethics from the NCBC in Philadelphia.

In March of 2010, I was hired at Campaign Life Coalition as their new Youth Coordinator. For almost six years, I traveled across Canada addressing Canada’s youth and motivating them to become active in the pro-life movement, and in elections across the country. I’ve been featured on various radio and television programs such as CBC, Global Television, CHCH, CTV, City TV, MTV, CTS, and was a regular on the former Sun News Network.

I’ve also been featured on television specials on MTV and other documentaries both nationally and internationally. A few years ago I represented Canada’s pro-life youth movement at the United Nations’ 57th Commission on the Status of Women in New York in 2013 where I lobbied for women’s rights for girls in and out of the womb. During my time at Campaign Life Coalition, I was one of the main organizers of the March for Life, the largest pro-life event in Canada to date, which consists of a pro-life rally on Parliament Hill, a Youth Banquet dinner and a Youth Conference, which attracts over 25,000 people annually. Just last year I traveled across Canada for the #No2Trudeau campaign, a joint effort between CLC and CCBR to rebuild the pro-life consensus and revitalize the pro-life base. The launch of this campaign consisted of a cross-country speaking tour at 22 locations in 9 different provinces. This has been the largest pro-life campaign to date in Canada, which activated pro-lifers across the country to engage in political activism for the 2015 federal election.

In January of 2016, I left my job at Campaign Life Coalition with a few of my colleagues to co-found RightNow, a new, political pro-life organization that is solely dedicated to nominating and electing pro-life candidates and educating people on the political process for the pro-life cause. In just our first year of existence, we won multiple nominations and elections in some of the biggest political upsets to hit Canada in decades.

I regularly speak at venues across the country about the abortion issue and political involvement, so if you’d like to book me, or see some of my past interviews or speaking engagements, check out my bookings page, here.

I’m is the oldest of nine children, currently living in Toronto. I am a die-hard hockey fan, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs every weekend during Hockey Night in Canada. I’m also part of the Big Brother/ Big Sister Program and have done other volunteer work such as the Out of the Cold program in Toronto to battle homelessness in the winter.
